The current interns at WE wanted to provide insight and tips on how to best prepare yourself for the application and interview process in order for YOU to become WE.

How to Make Your Resume/Cover Letter Stand Out:

  • For entry level positions, keep in mind your resume/cover letter should not exceed one page
  • Intertwine your work experience with the qualifications WE desires in an intern; implement key words from the job description in your resume and cover letter
  • Provide concrete examples of previous work experience and projects (IE; explain how you’ve met deadlines, worked individually or in a team environment, etc.)
  • List activities, school involvement, and volunteering you’ve accomplished throughout your college education
  • Cover letters are a great way to describe what is not included in your resume and gives WE a better understanding of who you are as a person
  • Conclude your cover letter stating you want the job and you will excel in the WE internship program

How to Network Before Applying:

  • Explore WE’s LinkedIn to find any mutual connections you might have within the organization; reach out by emailing or sending a direct message to show interest in the WE internship program
  • If no connection is found WE suggest seeking out your universities career center as a resource to help set you up with alumni or a point of contact
  • You can even set up group tours with WE to see what the agency looks like firsthand!

WE recommend YOU to follow our WEInterns account on Twitter and Instagram to keep up with the latest news on the application process, up-coming company news, etc.
